【Tenured or Tenure-Track Faculty Positions Available (Expertise on Intelligent Nano System with Hands-on Experience in Machine/Deep Learning), Department of Engineering and System Science, National Tsing Hua University】

The Department of Engineering and System Science at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Taiwan, invites applications for tenured or tenure-track faculty positions in the research area of intelligent nano system with expertise in machine/deep learning, signal processing, electronic instrumentation, neuromorphic/in-memory computing or energy-efficient circuit and system design. Application of intelligent nano system to the development of low carbon energy, power plant safety, material calculation, thin film engineering, smart sensor, 3D IC, beam technology, and nano material examination are also welcome. All levels of faculty positions are available. The applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree in engineering, applied science, or a closely related discipline and demonstrate promising excellence in research and teaching.

In addition to exercising personal expertise in research, new faculty members are advised to closely collaborate with other colleagues and would be responsible for offering both undergraduate and graduate level courses. These courses include those in basic and advanced electrical engineering, such as Probability and Statistics, Linear Algebra, Machine Learning, Microelectronics, Electrical Circuits, Electronics Experiments, Signals and Systems, Semiconductor Devices Physics, Integrated Circuit Design etc. Teaching in English is required in some courses.

A letter of application, curriculum vitae, a statement of research interests and plans,  teaching plans, a summary of teaching evaluations (if available), and a list of three references should be sent before March 31, 2020. Please note that reference letters are not required for the moment but should be readily available upon request.
